How is Mindboard different from a regular AI chat?

A regular chat is one long thread, so earlier ideas get buried as it grows. In Mindboard every topic is a node with its own conversation and notes. You can go deep on one idea, then step back up to the parent or the whole map, and the AI stays oriented to your original goal through where that node sits.

Can I turn a document or book into a map?

Yes. Import a PDF and Mindboard proposes an outline you review and edit before the map is created. Markdown files use their headings to build nested nodes, with the text under each heading saved as notes. PDFs need selectable text, so a scanned PDF may not import as-is. You can also attach a document to any node's chat and discuss it there.

What does Empower Me actually give me?

Recommendations matched to your goal: a Practical toolkit with AI tools, learning resources and communities, and an Academic toolkit with models, frameworks, research and hypotheses to test. Each one comes with a reason it fits. Save the useful ones to your Resource Library, and open them on the source site.

Is there really a free plan?

Yes. The free plan includes mind maps, AI personas on every node, chat, notes and the Sketchpad, and lets you try Board Meetings and document import. It comes with a monthly AI allowance. Pro gives you a much larger allowance and removes the limits on the heavier features.

What does the founding price mean?

Early members pay $12 a month, or $120 a year, for Pro. That price stays locked in for as long as you keep your subscription, even if Pro costs more later.

How do my ideas become a plan?

Send any chat answer or note to a project, or let Mindboard extract tasks from a whole map. You review the draft before anything is added. Tasks stay linked to the map or node they came from, and you can plan them in Board, List, Calendar or Timeline view.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Mindboard runs in your phone's browser and adapts to smaller screens, with a switch between Orbit and List views. You can also add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.

Can I work on a map with other people?

Yes. Invite people by email as editors or viewers. Collaborators see live updates and presence, and can leave comments and mentions.

Can I change how it looks?

Choose from seven built-in themes, switch between light and dark mode, or create your own. In chat and notes you can also adjust text size, font, line spacing and reading width.
